Dean joined the staff of Winther, Stave & Co., LLP in October 2025. Dean met his wife Katie, a Spencer native, at Luther College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in vocal performance in 2007. After graduating from Luther College, they lived in Michigan. While working at a credit union, the interest in accounting was awakened and Dean returned to college at Eastern Michigan University to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration – accounting in 2014 and a Master of Science degree – accounting in 2016. Dean and his wife Katie returned to the area in 2016 to be near family and settled in Milford. He is an assistant coach for MYFL 5th grade Spencer football and helps with Milford Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Dean assists with tax return preparation, accounting and auditing services.
